Homemade Pizza

  1. Gather ingredients as per the list.

    Other Ingredients

    Cheese for garnishing as needed while assembling the Pizza

    Vegetables of choice cut in square chunks

    Bake @ 475 F for 12 mins

  2. Ingredients for Pizza base

    All-purpose flour (maida) 500 GMs

    Yeast 5 GMs

    Sugar 5 GMs

    Olive oil 40 ml

    Water about 330 ml

    Salt to taste

  3. Ingredients for Pizza Sauce

    Fresh tomatoes 7-8

    Onion 1 medium

    Capsicum 1/2 cup

    Garlic paste 2 Tbspn

    Oregano 3 Tspn

    Mixed Italian herbs 3 Tspn

    Pepper powder 1 Tspn

    1 TbspnKashmiri Red Chilli powder

    Olive oil 2 Tbspn

    Salt to taste

  4. Take yeast and sugar in a bowl and add some lukewarm water. Mix it well and rest it for 10 minutes.

    Note: If the water is too hot or too cold the yeast will not activate.

  5. After resting this mixture for 10 minutes you will see the bubbles forming on top of the mixtures this indicates that yeast is activated

  6. Add the flour to the stand mixture, and add some salt, activated yeast, and olive oil.

    Note – add about half olive oil in the beginning and then the rest half while kneading.

  7. Start kneading at low speed and increase once the dough starts combining.

  8. Add little water at a time.

  9. After adding all the water you can see the dough is very sticky but this water will absorb when we knead the dough for 25-30 mins.

  10. Continue the kneading process for at least 25 minutes in the stand mixer itself. Add olive oil in between in 2 parts while kneading.

  11. After about 30 mins knead the dough on counter for 5-7 mins.

  12. Grease the entire bowl with the olive oil to keep the dough for proofing in the bowl.

  13. Create a dough ball and leave it for proofing in the greased bowl.

  14. Note –  If you're living in a cold place then you can also place it inside the oven which is not hot but at room temperature or any of the cabinets which are a little bit warmer than the normal counter temperature.

  15. Let’s make Pizza Sauce while the dough is resting

    Take the tomatoes and put the slit on the back side of the tomatoes

  16. Now boil them in hot water

  17. Let the tomatoes cool down and then, remove the tomato skin.

  18. Make tomato purée and pass it through a sieve to filter out seeds and tomato strands.

  19. Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is heated add some garlic and let it roast for a few seconds.

  20. Add the onion and let the onion cook until they become translucent.

  21. Once the onions are cooked, add capsicum or bell pepper and again let this cook for sometime

  22. Once the capsicum is cooked add tomato puree prepared and add the spices and the herbs so that it can infuse all the flavours in tomatoes.

  23. Let the mixture cook until reduced and it becomes thick in consistency. While stiring in between.

  24. Take the proofed dough on the countertop and gently fold it.

  25. Divide the dough ball and roll one pizza base at a time.

  26. Take the rolled dough on baking tray and add the toppings of your choice.

  27. Bake it in the preheated oven at 475 Fahrenheit for 12 minutes.

  28. Your delicious pizza is now ready to be served.
