Instructions

- Ingredients for Pizza baseAll-purpose flour (maida) 500 GMsYeast 5 GMsSugar 5 GMsOlive oil 40 mlWater about 330 mlSalt to taste
- Ingredients for Pizza SauceFresh tomatoes 7-8Onion 1 mediumCapsicum 1/2 cupGarlic paste 2 TbspnOregano 3 TspnMixed Italian herbs 3 TspnPepper powder 1 Tspn1 TbspnKashmiri Red Chilli powder Olive oil 2 TbspnSalt to taste
- Take yeast and sugar in a bowl and add some lukewarm water. Mix it well and rest it for 10 minutes. Note: If the water is too hot or too cold the yeast will not activate.
- After resting this mixture for 10 minutes you will see the bubbles forming on top of the mixtures this indicates that yeast is activated
- Add the flour to the stand mixture, and add some salt, activated yeast, and olive oil.Note – add about half olive oil in the beginning and then the rest half while kneading.
- Start kneading at low speed and increase once the dough starts combining.
- Add little water at a time.
- After adding all the water you can see the dough is very sticky but this water will absorb when we knead the dough for 25-30 mins.
- Continue the kneading process for at least 25 minutes in the stand mixer itself. Add olive oil in between in 2 parts while kneading.
- After about 30 mins knead the dough on counter for 5-7 mins.
- Grease the entire bowl with the olive oil to keep the dough for proofing in the bowl.
- Create a dough ball and leave it for proofing in the greased bowl.
- Note – If you're living in a cold place then you can also place it inside the oven which is not hot but at room temperature or any of the cabinets which are a little bit warmer than the normal counter temperature.
- Let’s make Pizza Sauce while the dough is restingTake the tomatoes and put the slit on the back side of the tomatoes
- Now boil them in hot water
- Let the tomatoes cool down and then, remove the tomato skin.
- Make tomato purée and pass it through a sieve to filter out seeds and tomato strands.
- Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is heated add some garlic and let it roast for a few seconds.
- Add the onion and let the onion cook until they become translucent.
- Once the onions are cooked, add capsicum or bell pepper and again let this cook for sometime
- Once the capsicum is cooked add tomato puree prepared and add the spices and the herbs so that it can infuse all the flavours in tomatoes.
- Let the mixture cook until reduced and it becomes thick in consistency. While stiring in between.
- Take the proofed dough on the countertop and gently fold it.
- Divide the dough ball and roll one pizza base at a time.
- Take the rolled dough on baking tray and add the toppings of your choice.
- Bake it in the preheated oven at 475 Fahrenheit for 12 minutes.
- Your delicious pizza is now ready to be served.
