Ingredients

  • 3 medium size Boiled Potato
  • 2 tbspn Green Chilies & Ginger Paste
  • 6 tbspn Lemon Juice
  • 6 tbspn Sugar
  • 1 tspn Turmeric Powder
  • Salt To Taste

Instructions

  • Collect Ingredients based on quantities mentioned!
  • Boil 3 medium size potatoes and peel and smash the potatoes.
Tip: Boil the full potatoes without cutting in Pressure cooker with water. Alternately add the half-cut potatoes in a pot and keep the pot in pressure cooker filled with 1 glass of water. Do not add water to cut potatoes. This will ensure that potatoes don't absorb water and hence the texture of bread roll is good.
  • Gently mix all the ingredients
  • Combine the ingredients properly but do not over mix else it can make potatoes sticky and hard to shape.
You can taste the mixture to see if you need to adjust taste to your liking.
  • After combining the ingredients, roll the potatoes into oblong rolls. Let it rest in fridge for 30 mins.
  • After 30 mins potato balls are ready to be rolled into bread. Take a bread slice and cut the sides to remove the hard part of bread.
  • Roll the bread to make it thin using rolling pin. This will ensure that we reduce the air pockets in bread so that it does not absorb extra water.
  • Apply water on the rolled bread.
  • Roll the potato ball into this bread.
  • Seal the bread properly by applying water to the edges and rolling it properly.
  • Roll all the potato balls into bread and keep it in refrigerator to rest for 30 mins.
  • Now it's the time to start frying the bread rolls. Prepare air fryer basket. Keep the bread roll air fryer basket and apply oil using brush or spray oil on all sides of the bread roll.
Heat air fryer @ 475 ℉ (246℃). Cook for about 6-8 mins in preheated air fryer.
  • While the air fryer version is getting ready, lets deep fry our bread rolls. Keep the oil on low to medium flame as bread does not take long to get fried.
Make sure you keep rolling the roll while in oil so that there is even golden-brown coloring in the bread roll.
  • Both the versions of bread roll are now ready for you to relish.
  • You can enjoy the bread roll with Tomato Ketchup or the green Coriander Chutney (https://bonvoyagehunger.com/coriander-chutney) or a combination of ketchup and chutney (this is my personal favorite).
  • You can keep the rolled bread or the potato balls in refrigerator for up-to 2 days and fry them fresh when you want to eat.
